Peter Weltner

Peter Weltner grew up in New Jersey and North Carolina, graduated from Hamilton College, received a Ph.D. from Indiana University, taught English Renaissance poetry and prose and modern and contemporary British, Irish, and American fiction and poetry at San Francisco State for thirty-seven years, and retired in 2006. He has published six books of fiction, most recently THE RETURN OF WHAT'S BEEN LOST, and fourteen books or chapbooks of poetry, including THE LIGHT OF THE SUN BECOME SEA and UNBECOMING TIME 2017. His work has been selected for numerous anthologies, among them two O. Henry’s. He lives with his husband in San Francisco by the Pacific.
